ENTREC Engineering was established to provide engineering design and drafting services for the transportation, crane and hoisting industry.
We have a skilled and commited staff of engineers and engineering technologists who have a wealth of experience in the transportation, crane and rigging industry.
Our professional staff are members in good standing in APEGGA and APEGBC and are certified to practice in both the Alberta and British Columbia jurisdictions.
Engineering
Engineering and Drafting offer a multiple of services to the customer:

Route and Feasibility Studies
ENTREC offers reports for the customer to be insured that their commodities can be transported, prior to Engineering design from the manufacture. There are regulations for transport administered by every province in Canada that can deviate, without knowing these regulations transport may be denied. Bridge studies are also part of the report, Entrec works very close with third parties.
Custom Design Services
ENTREC has in the past designed special supports for the client’s commodities for transport, crane lift and laydown. Clients have dressed their vessels on special beam or saddle supports, prior to erection.
Compression Load Cell Weighing
ENTREC has the only wireless load cell system in North America that can calculate loads per cell and Center of Gravity; this assists us for reporting to the Government of Infrastructure and supporting the lifting cranes at site.
Center of Gravity Reports
ENTREC gives back up information to the manufacture to assist in checking their Center of Gravity calculations and again for the lifting cranes at site.
Specialized Solutions
Moving items in tight locations or when cranes are not feasible because of excessive weight of payload, ENTREC Jack and Roll services are administered with the support of the Engineering Department.
Liaison support for the customer to the manufacturer
ENTREC can assist in preliminary design to support the Government to allow transport, and provisions to get it into its final destination, where accessibility could be limited. This could include design width, height, length and weight. Also could be attachments for support, lifting and movement other than transport at site.
Technical support for Project Managers and safety
ENTREC Engineering assists our project managers with transport and lift plan drawings and equipment feasibility. Procedures and practices to ensure safety, is a request of many of our clients on site.
Logistics
Logistics is the backbone of any specialized company, transporting oversized equipment places stress on the highways and secondary roadway infrastructure. Without reviewing constraints on the roadway, bridges, traffic lights, electrical high lines, cable, signage and public safety, specialized transportation would be non-existent. To ensure specialized transport and public safety, logistics is a task that must be performed for every job, no matter what the size of the project or it entails. Logistics mitigate the risk for specialized transport.
